At first glance, you will notice our kennels are not on ground-level. We raise them 1.5' to keep the rain and mud away as well as to increase sanitation. This feature also makes it easier to keep the grass mowed around your pet's area.
Our exclusive PolyMax® flooring is used in the wired section of the system. This clean and comfortable material fills the majority of the open area: 6' to be exact. You'll love maintenance-free PolyMax®. Learn more about PolyMax® in our features section.
Between the PolyMax®and the covered box, there is 2' of wood flooring. This is a great area for feeding because the food will not drop onto the ground as it would with the perforated PolyMax® material. This area is also covered by the 3.5' metal roof.
The sleeping quarters are 2'D x 4'W x 26"H. This is a solid wood box covered in aluminum. Our cozy abode is 26"H at the opening and then decreases to 23"H towards the back to maximize snuggle comfort! The opening into the box is 11"W x 18"H. Unless you specify otherwise, the opening will be on the right hand side of the box (see photos). There is also a 4 1/2" threshold at the opening to prevent bedding and/or newborns from escaping into the wired area. You can also request an optional door that gives you direct access to the box from the outside of the kennel. This option is especially great for whelping. See photos for more detail.
Optional wheels on the heaviest end of the kennel aid in portability.
You will notice that the lockable door is on the right side of the kennel (as pictured above). If you need the door to be in another location, please let us know. We are also able to add a second door to your kennel if you desire. Please contact us for custom pricing.
